Chakra Series: The Crown Chakra
Welcome to the start of our Chakra Series, where we will be learning about all things chakras! It’s important to understand the function of the chakras because these main energy centers act as a map connecting your physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Blocked chakras can cause lethargy or emotional stagnation. Ensuring they are open allows life-force energy (prana) to flow freely, which can increase vitality. We will explore each of the seven chakras in depth- what they represent, how to tell if they’re out of balance, how to heal them, etc. To start, we are going to look at the Crown Chakra.
The Crown Chakra (also known as Sahasrara in Sanskrit), is the seventh and highest primary chakra, located at the top of the head, representing spiritual connection, enlightenment, and unity with the universe. It is associated with the color violet or white, and the symbol of a thousand-petaled lotus representing divine consciousness. Unblocking this chakra fosters wisdom and inner peace.
