Chakra Series: The Heart Chakra
Welcome to the fourth post in our chakra series, where we are exploring each of the seven chakras in depth. Today, we are working with the Heart Chakra.
The Heart Chakra (also known as Anahata) is the fourth chakra located in the center of the chest. It governs our emotions, relationships, and self-awareness. It’s associated with the colors green and pink and the symbol of the lotus with 12 petals and two intersecting triangles, signifying the 12 virtues of the heart as well as the balance between spiritual and physical. This is because it is the bridge between the lower and upper chakras. Unblocking this chakra fosters love in its purest form.
Key Aspects of the Heart Chakra

How to Unblock and Balance the Heart Chakra
Meditation & Visualization: Focus on the heart space, visualizing a bright green or pink light.
Affirmations: Using phrases like “My heart is open”, “I am worthy of love”, and “I forgive myself and others”.
Yoga Poses: Poses that energize and stimulate the chest area, like Camel Pose (Ustrasana) and Fish Pose (Matsyasana).
Breathwork: Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) is a pranayama technique that involves inhaling through one nostril while blocking the other, then alternating. This balances both hemispheres of the brain and enhances respiratory function.
Crystals: Utilize Rose Quartz, Jade, Green Aventurine, and Emerald.
